Agentlink TFG II

TFG II will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 28 February to the 2 March 2005 - event information is now available at agentlink.org.

Networked Agents Homepage

In recent years Agent technology has become highly relevant to new generations of Internet systems and technologies such as Web Services, the Semantic Web, GRID systems and e-Business.

To realise this promise however, researchers face still face huge challenges in how to take Agent theories, knowledge and experiences into these new worlds, prepare them for deployment and develop understanding of large-scale open environments populated by agents: how to choose between the plethora of tools and standards available? How to make research relevant in a fast moving technology landscape? How to move beyond laboratory experiments to large-scale cross-organization development and deployment?

To help understand the needs researchers in exploring the use of Agent technology in these contexts and in particular in large-scale deployment, the networked agents activity is organising an Agentlink III technical forum to help identify deployment issues and requirements.

Outputs

The TFG meeting was held in Rome Italy on the 30th June and 1st July, 2004 and summary slides are available in PDF format:

The results of the network agents survey are also available in PDF and HTML formats, these will be updated at the end of september with additional data and analysis:
